"It all about power in the darkest hour … ain't no free ride if you want to glide on it" says Bey on the piece Sacred. This newly formed group appeals to the cinematic sense of music and the freedom to navigate beyond category. Inspired by the revolutionary 60's of Detroit, Chicago and Los Angeles, marinated over time, Citizen X finds a new voice in the theatre of today's globalized one-world politics. The group moves through a landscape filled with a sense of sprituality, atmospheric sound bytes punctuated by wide ranging guitar sounds and observant commentary on today's tumultous world. Cadillac Eldorados, Sun Ra's Arkestra and names like Amiri Baraka, Fred Hampton and Huey P. Newton come to mind in a blend of black-a-delic consciousness, bringing a sense of proximity to both danger and beauty.

Maral Yakshieva - Turkmen composer and pianist- studied music theory and piano at the College of Music in Chardzhou (1983-87) and graduated with a diploma of excellence in both subjects. She studied composition and piano at the State Conservatory of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat (1988-95) and graduated with a diploma of excellence in both subjects. Later she studied composition with Albert Leman at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow (1995-97) and music psychology. As a pianist, she has performed contemporary pieces and improvisations in the Czech Republic, Russia and Uzbekistan. In the western world attended from her recording with Anthony Braxton and Roscoe Mitchell. pfabe&wunderlich coproduction ... and another very interesting aspect about the meeting of these two extraordinary pianists is - from my personal point of view, - the meeting between the academic educated quality and the in-born talented expressionist ... will it be controversal or universal
